Delete your Checkmate account

Use this page to ask for your Checkmate account and the data stored for it to be deleted. Checkmate is the chess alarm app listed under that name on Google Play.

How to request deletion

1. Email the developer address shown on the Checkmate store listing.
2. Use the subject line “Delete my Checkmate account”.
3. Include the Google email address you used in Checkmate. If you never used Google sign-in, say that you played as a guest and include the name shown on your leaderboard, if you have one.

You do not need to delete your Google account. Signing out inside Checkmate does not delete the stored data.

What we delete

Within 30 days of a complete request, we delete the Firebase account and the data tied to it: your display name, avatar, chess rating, daily leaderboard scores, and feedback notes you sent from the app.

What is kept

Alarm times and other data stored only on your phone are not on our servers. Uninstall Checkmate to remove them. Google Play keeps its own records of app installs and subscription purchases. We do not receive your card number.
